This has been a very busy month as I've been working to get the basics of Willowrose Village in place. There are times I wish I could be fairy godmother and just wave a wand and have all my ideas appear done and completed. Alas, it does take time - but the good news is that I am close to being finished with the things that I wanted as basics for the village.

Webplanner Dashboard now live!
Wow! It's already a month since I started full time on this business. Everything seems to take longer than expected.
But I am excited to announce that the Webplanner Dashboard is now done. It's a program of free (for now) information for small and home business people and artists who think they probably should get a website, but don't know where to start with that.

In between getting the Webplanner Dashboard done, I've also had the privilege of working on several websites this past month. One for an artist and one for a business woman. This week I'm meeting with some authors to discuss a website for them.
It's always an exciting challenge for me to come up with a design - both graphically and in terms of information - that really suits the reason for the website. It's also my goal to make it as easy as I can for my clients to work with me - and I do see this as a project we "work together" on. I think that's necessary if the client is to end up with a website that they will be happy with.

Website Additions
It's three weeks later and there has been a lot of new stuff added to the website. Just check out the venues on the homepage (http://www.willowrosevillage.com/) that have the red star beside the name. That means that there is something there for you to check out already. I'm not sure that I would ever say it means that venue is complete, because there will always be room for improvement and additions.
One of the neat things that I have added is the information about the Birkman personality assessment. Check out the Best Life Success Venue (www.willowrosevillage.com/bls.html) for more information about that. I thought I was fairly well aware of who I was, but this assessment added some valuable new insights for me and was well worth the investment.
For Cochrane residents, be sure to check out Willowrose Cochrane(www.willowrosevillage.com/cochrane.html). The Business and Arts Directory is now open for additions.
I'm hoping, but won't promise, that the majority of the website will be completed by late February or early March. As well as working on this business, I am working about 5 hours a day with a client who is starting a new organization - that has been an interesting and exciting challenge. And I am also helping my husband and our real estate business partner explore some new possibilities. So life is anything but dull these days!
Keep checking the website - I usually add new pages and information at least once a week.

Welcome to Willowrose Village
Are you an business person or artist, especially one living in Cochrane, Alberta or the surrounding area? Then welcome to Willowrose Village!
So - what is Willowrose Village? It is a unique group of "businesses and venues" - which you can explore at http://www.willowrosevillage.com/. It's special focus is on business and the arts. The purpose of this village is to promote passion, creativity and success in life, art and business.
How will that be accomplished? Well - why not just head on over to the village and find out.
This is the first phase of a dream that began about twenty-five years ago. That has not been the easiest process, believe me, but I am excited that this is finally coming together.
If you are a business person or artist here in Cochrane or area, or anywhere on the internet, and you want to know more about how to live with passion, creativity and success, then I look forward to dialoguing with you, meeting you, and perhaps even working with you.
Over the next several weeks, as fast as I can get them online, I will be adding the first group of Willowrose Village businesses, etc. Take the time to explore the website and see if any of that sounds like something you might want to explore further. Details will be given in each section as to what is offered and how you can get involved.
One of the ways you can get involved is to let me know what you want from this village. Each webpage has a special ASK! box in the right sidebar where you can send me your questions, your suggestions, what you would really like to learn, etc. I really do want this to be a village that works for you, and the only way I can really do that is to ASK you!
I've started the process with the things that I would like to include, but that is only as a starting point. If you like what you see in this village and think you might want to get involved, then join in. Your input and feedback will determine a fair bit of what this village becomes.
